Matt Ketcham

Captain Matt Ketcham is the owner and operator of Peconic Gold Oysters, Inc., on the North Fork of Long Island, New York. Matt has worked in the commercial fishing industry for over 20 years, and grew his career on the charter boat, Prime Time III, out of Orient Point, New York, with the late Captain Mike Boccio. Peconic Gold Oysters was founded in 2013 and has been growing the finest half shell product on the East End of Long Island ever since. Located in Cutchogue Harbor in the Peconic Bay, Peconic Golds are known for their delicate balance of brininess with a sweet, creamy finish. Peconic Gold Oysters can be found at restaurants across Long Island and at the company's self-serve farmstand located at 21125 County Road 48, Cutchogue, New York.
Matt holds a B.S. in Aquaculture and Fisheries Science from the University of Rhode Island. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Long Island Farm Bureau. Matt resides in Mattituck, New York with his wife, Kelsey, their one year old son, Wyatt, and Rango the rescue oyster pup.
