James Tweed
New Jersey Board Member
I have been employed as the oyster farm manager for Atlantic Capes
Fisheries (ACF) for the past 10 years. In that time I’ve been responsible for
developing and marketing the ACF branded Cape May Salt Oyster.
The ACF Cape May Salt farm, located on the remote shores of the Delaware Bay in
Cape May County, NJ, is currently the largest oyster aquaculture
farm in the state of New Jersey. For the past several years we have
consistently produced over 500,000 oysters. We have an area of
distribution that includes most of the Mid-Atlantic.
As a representative of the New Jersey Aquaculture industry I am involved
with many aquaculture advocacy organizations. I am a 2005 graduate of
the New Jersey Agricultural Leadership Development Program and
currently serving in my third year as President of the Cape May County Board of
Agriculture. For the past several years I have served as a member
(by proxy) of the New Jersey Aquaculture Advisory Council.
